Robert Mathias Wingard, 67, of 1520 Northlake Drive, Lexington, died Wednesday at his home. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Justus Jacob and Linnie Corley Wingard. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Corley Wingard; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda W. DeLoach of Columbia and Mrs. Bruce (Elizabeth) Hiller of Lexington; three sons, Robert M. Jr. and Ronnie Wingard of Lexington and Dannie J. Wingard of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Rhett (Mae Ruth) Banks and Mrs. Robert M. (Myrtle) Corley Jr. of Lexington; two brothers, Ernest R. Wingard of Lexington and Frank Edward Wingard of West Columbia; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Elford B. Roof Sr. and the Rev. Larry S. Long. Pallbearers will be Steve Bouknight, Ed Rikard, James Z. Rikard, Robert Milton Corley III, James Edward Wingard, Noris Wingard, Gene Corley and David Parks.
