Captain Edward A. Ankenbauer was a firefighter for the Indianapolis Salvage Corps on Jan 5, 1919 when he was killed in a fire-truck accident, responding to a fire alarm.
Edward was added to the Indianapolis Fallen Firefighters Memorial on 1 October 2014.
