Wm. Mackey, an old and respected citizen, who had a stroke of paralysis about two weeks ago, died at his home Tuesday, February 9th at the age of about seventy-nine years. The funeral services were conducted Thursday at the house by Rev. S. M. Clark of Chariton. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and seven children, four sons and three daughters. They are Earl, Elmer. Herbert, May Mackey and Mrs. Polly Stedwell of this place; Wm. of near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Malissa Fisher of Des Moines. They were all present at his funeral. Interment at the Ottawa cemetery. With the passing of Mr. Mackey Woodburn loses one of its pioneer citizens.
