She was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Orono, the daughter of George and Mary (Melanson) Deveau. Marge graduated from Orono High School in 1941. She worked at Pat’s Pizza while attending school. After graduation, she worked for the war effort in Massachusetts, then she moved to Portland and worked for the A. & P. Tea Co., where she met her husband, Dick Pedley. They were married Aug 1, 1947, in Portland and lived there until they moved to Lincoln in 1952. She enjoyed fishing, clamming, bowling, cards, hunting, camping and life to the fullest. She worked in the public for many years at local grocery stores.
