Mrs. Bertha Bell Noxon, nee Bissett, wife of Claude M. Noxon and mother of Mrs. Robert Seeley of Manhattan, Ill., Mrs. Clarence Baker, and Mrs. Paul Schlieter of this city, died at her home Sunday, January 28, after great suffering for many months. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home on Euclid avenue, at 1:30 o'clock, and at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Erwine Thompson had charge of the services. Members of the Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, Colonial Shrine and Ladies of the G.A.R., to which orders the deceased belonged, attended in a body. Mrs. Noxon was born in Remington,Ind., April 21, 1876, and was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bissett, deceased. On September 25, 1895, she was united in marriage to Claude M. Noxon. Mrs. Noxon spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church, as well as a loyal friend and neighbor. Many friends in this community will mourn her loss. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by three sisters.
