Olwyn Mary (Williams) Otter, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on January 4, 2011 at Messiah Village, with her loving family at her side.
She was born June 21, 1917 in Shenandoah, PA, the daughter of the late Goronwy and Mary Jane (Hughes) Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband William V. Otter. She was a past member of the Camp Hill Civic Club, the Welsh Society of Central PA, and the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and the Messiah Village Church of the Brethren. She graduated from the West Hazleton High School and the Business School in Hazleton, PA. She enjoyed pinochle, reading, current events, traveling with her friends, membership in various clubs and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: her daughter, Jane O. Shoop and husband, Martin Shoop of Boiling Springs, her son, David W. Otter with Leah Hornung of Carlisle, her son Mark V. Otter and wife Saundra of Horseheads, NY, her five grandchildren, Michele Foland of Etters, PA, Todd Eckroth and wife Kelly of Mechanicsburg, PA, Shawn Eckroth and wife Sheila of Lake Wylie, SC, Mason Otter and Derek Otter of Horseheads NY, her six great grandchildren Olivia and Sophia Foland of Etters, PA, Lily and Gabrielle Eckroth of Mechanicsburg, PA, Kendal Edwards and Madison Lenz of Lake Wylie, SC.
Scriptural Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Messiah Village Chapel, with Pastor Debbie Bentch officiating, and Pastor Terry Rose assisting. Burial will be at the Skyview Cemetary, Hometown, PA, at the convenience of the family.
