Mrs. Baer was born on July 17, 1921 in Harrisburg the daughter of the late Seibert W,. and Mary (Albright) Ankerbrandt.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville. A former LPN at a local hospital for some years. Dorothy loved bowling, when she was able and enjoyed reading romance novels.
She was the loving wife of Grover E. Baer for 65 plus years.
Surviving in additon to her husband are her children: William C. Baer, Linglestown, Barry E. Baer, Carlisle, Sharon J. Koons, Perdix, Bonnie L. Snyder, Dauphin and Kevin M. Baer, Duncannon. Also seven Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a Brother, William C. Ankerbrandt and a Niece, Mary Jane Rhoads.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville. Burial will be in Chesthut Grove Cemetery, Marysville. Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
