Born May 16, 1917, in Knox, she was the daughter of Albert J. and Lola M. Berlin Fye.
Mrs. Cotherman was an active member of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church in Knox where she served as a deacon and elder and taught Sunday school for a number of years. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Morris Chapter No. 14 in Rouseville for more than 50 years and also was a past worthy matron.
Mrs. Cotherman was married July 17, 1937, to Stanley "Link" Cotherman, who died April 1, 1986.
After her husband retired, he was involved in harness horse racing and she traveled with him to various states. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Oschman and husband, Herbert, of Seneca and Joanne Venuto and husband, Sam, of Canton, Ohio; three grandsons, Stanley Oschman and wife, Ruth, James Watson and wife, Tammy, and Shane Oschman; six granddaughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Wasser and husband, Bill, Pamala Mahle and husband, Dean, Penny Knight and husband, Tad, Kim Reddinger and husband, David, Jodi Moody and Debbie Sage and husband, Todd; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several step-great-great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by two brothers, Leroy Fye and wife, Kay, of Knox and Walter Fye and friend, Shirley Monrean, of Knox; a sister-in-law, Leona Miller of Knox; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cotherman was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Fye and Wilbert Fye; and two sisters-in-law, Aliene Fye and Annabelle Fye.
Interment will follow in Nickleville Cemetery.
