Hazlett, Mabel Lillian (Carr) age 75 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Caris Hospice. She was a member of the Farragut Church of Christ. Mabel retired from the Civil Service, Tampa, Florida after 34 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Hugh and Margaret Elizabeth Hembree Carr; brothers, Joseph Henry and John Paul Carr. Survived by loving husband of 54 years, Martin L. Hazlett; daughter Sandy Bogovich and husband Robert; sons Ronnie M. Hazlett, William H. Hazlett and wife Kirsten; four grandchildren, Christiaan, Tristan, Ian and Elle Hazlett; brother Jerome E. Carr and wife Sue; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, August 8, 2008 at Highland Memorial Funeral Home (Bearden) from 5-7 p.m. A service will be conducted on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Chapel, conducted by Pastors Daniel Harris and Paul Phelps. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
