Davenport - Services for Marilyn J. Bankson, Davenport, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. The family will recite the eulogy at 7 p.m. Marilyn died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.

Marilyn worked at the former Robbins Electric Co., Moline, before she retired. She also worked at McGinnis Industries, Milan, Ill.

She was born on May 28, 1928, in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Laura (Bohm) Holdt. She married Glenn Bankson on April 20, 1946, in Davenport. She enjoyed traveling and dancing. Memorials may be made to the family.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn, Davenport; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and George Allen, Davenport, and Nancy and Jim Cirivello, Moline; grandchildren and their spouses, Mindy and Ted Frahm, Davenport, William and Christine Allen, Davenport, and Bradley and Serena Allen, Phoenix; two great-grandchildren; and her sister and brother-in-law, Ardis and Glen Viviani, Davenport.
