Josephine Borchelt, 73 years of age of Morris, passed away Friday evening, January 11, 2002 in the Grundy County Home.
    Born April 2, 1928 in Morris, she was a daughter of the late Gust and Josephine (Warnier) Eleopoulos. She was raised and educated in Morris, graduating from Immaculate Conception Grade School and later Morris Community High School with the class of 1945. On June 12, 1948 she married Fairel "Fuzzy" Borchelt in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. All of their married life they lived in Morris. Josephine was employed for twelve years by Kroger Grocery Store in Morris, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Home Extension, Womens Relief Corps, Senior Citizens Club and life member of Rod and Gun Club. In her free time Josephine enjoyed playing cards, bingo, volunteering at the I.C. Funeral Luncheons, the Grundy County Health Fair and was an avid bowler.
    She is survived by her children, Barbara (John) Sparks of Morris, Robert (Darlene) Borchelt of Kearney, MO., Susan B. (James Lee) Silliman of Camden, AR., and Donald (Deanne) Borchelt of Morris, six grandchildren, David (Lou Ann) Sparks, Debbie Sparks, Michelle Parnell, Jeremy Borchelt, Justin Borchelt, and Kelly Borchelt and her great-granddaughter Sarah Sparks.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband "Fuzzy" Borchelt, sister Catherine Eleopoulos and great-grandson Derek Sparks.
    Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at nine AM with a mass of Christian burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris. Reverend Father Robert Hoffenkamp will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at REEVES FUNERAL HOME in Morris.
    Pall Bearers will be David Sparks Jeremy Bochelt, Dana Olsen, Richard Malone, Ron Helland and Leslie Dummitt. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Debbie Sparks, Michelle Parnell, Justin Borchelt and Kelly Borchelt. Preferred memorials are gifts in Josephine's memory to Grundy Community Hospice or to Immaculate Conception Church.
