Services for Marine Cpl. Lawrence A. Booker, 28, of 1107 E. Hyde Park Blvd., will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at 3232 S. King Dr. Cpl. Booker was one of 50 American sailors and marines who died Jan 17 in the harbor at Barcelona, Spain, when a Navy launch returning them to their ship capsized after colliding with a Spanish freighter. Cpl. Booker, a graduate of Hyde Park High School and George Williams College, entered the Marine Corps in 1973. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Willa and Anthony Woodson, and a brother, Phillip Woodson.
