Rachel J. Campbell
NORTH OGDEN - Mrs. Rachel Lovina Judkins Campbell, 88, of 2865 N. 150 W., died Tuesday in an Ogden nursing home of natural causes.
Mrs. Campbell was born Feb 20, 1885 in North Ogden, a daughter of Eugene Bryant and Mercy Miranda Campbell Judkins. On April 16, 1907, she was married to Isiah Franklin Campbell in Ogden. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 23, 1926. He died Dec. 28, 1946. She had formerly worked at Ogden Arsenal and Shupe-Williams Candy Co. She spent her early life in Liberty and North Ogden. She had been a member of the pleasant View 2nd LDS Ward and active in Relief Society. She had been a Relief Society visiting teacher, Primary President and work director on the church welfare committee. She had been a member of the Farm Bureau Beautification Committee.
Surviving are one son and five daughters, Grant J. Campbell, Westminster, Calif.; Mrs. Henry (Fern) Ward, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Don (Lorene) Anderson, Bountiful; Mrs. Elmer (Gean) Ekstrom, North Ogden; Mrs. R. L. (Florence) Barker, Mrs. Arabell Fox, both of Ogden; 31 grandchildren 74 great - grandchildren; two great - great- grandchildren. Also surviving one brother, Clyde Judkins, Carlin Nev.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Ross Olsen of the Pleasant View 2nd Ward officiating. Friend may call at the mortuary Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial in the North Ogden, cemetery.
