Dorothy Buse Kruger, 78, of Sioux Falls SD. passed away Nov. 15 at Avera Mckennan Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1700 E. 6th street. Interment will follow at the Hill Of Rest Memorial Park.

Dorothy Mae Buse was born Feb. 21, 1928, at the farm homesteaded by her grandfather, Jan in Turner County SD., the daughter of Henry Wickert Buse and Eka (Schmidt) Buse.

The family later farmed in Lincoln County , near Lennox. She graduated form Lennox High School in 1946. Her recent illness prevented her from attending her 60th class reunion this month, which she deeply regretted. She attended collage in Yanton SD. for 2 years and taught briefly in Iowa.

She married Robert Eugene Kruger on Dec. 23, 1948 in Laverne Mn.

They lived in several places across the United States(Holyoke Ms., Cheyenne Wy., Goldsboro NC. and Wichita, Ks.) while Bob severed in the Air Force. The moved back to Sioux Falls in 1968

Dorothy was a warm, friendly person and enjoyed corresponding and some times visiting friends from the Air Force Days. She was well known for her devotion to her family. She loved attending school events, family reunions and visiting and keeping in touch. Dorothy was an active participant at the Wesley Methodist Church and served in many different capacities through the years. Children she taught in Sunday School, most of whom now have children of their own, still remember her with deep affection. She was very fond of family tales, jokes and inspirational stories and could be relied on to have an appropriate anecdote for every occasion.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert, Daughter Sally, of Sioux Falls; son Steven (Chris) Kruger of Wilmar Mn.; son Kurt (Dawn) Kruger of Sioux Falls, son Kevin (Tanya) Kruger, Big Fork Mn.; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Troy) Cassady, Charles Town WVa., Tiffany (Joey) Jensen of Renville, Mn., Tina (Pat) Dries of Millbank, SD. Andy Kruger, Sioux Falls, Nichole (Nate) Eastman, Kalispell, Mt., Kyle Kruger of Sioux Falls, Alicia Kruger of Sioux Falls and Justin May of Sioux Falls, 6 great grandchildren, Taylor Cassady, Justin and Logan Jensen, Lillian Dries, and Allison and Emma Kruger, sisters, Anne Backer, Sioux Falls, Joyce Murphy, Sioux Falls; and sister -in-law, Joyce Buse, Sioux Falls.
