NOXON – Funeral services for longtime Noxon resident, Mary Miller, 89, were held Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Noxon United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Hamshar officiating.
Mrs. Miller died Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995, at Sandpoint, Idaho.
She was born Jan. 10, 1906 at Noxon to William and Ethel (Fulks) Greer. She grew up and attended school at Noxon, and was graduated from Noxon High School.
Mary and Kenneth J. Miller were married July 29, 1928 at Sandpoint.
Together, they owned and operated the motel, service station and garage at Noxon for many years. They moved to Thompson Falls in the mid-1950s where they operated the Big Pine Court. In the mid-1960s they retired and returned to Noxon.
Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, and crocheting, but her main love was her family and friends and spending time with them. She was a lifetime member and held many chairs of the Order of Eastern Star of Thompson Falls.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Johnston, Spokane, Wash.; Kirk C. Benson, Seaside, Calif.; and Breana L. Johnston, Spokane, Wash.; and a great-granddaughter, Lillian J. Warner, Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ken, in 1972; two brothers and a sister.
Memorials were suggested to the Noxon Senior Citizens Center.
