Elijah G. Miller was born May 19, 1833 and departed this life January 20, 1913, aged 79 years and 8 months. Mr. Miller was born in Miller County, Mo., and spent his entire life in the county of his birth except two years.
He became a Christian early in life and his example and influence was noble and good. His presence anywhere among the large acquaintance where he was known always inspired confidence and respect. Quiet and unassuming he sought no distinction but was honored as Judge of the Miller County Court because of his known honesty and integrity.
Nine children and a number of grandchildren mourn with a large circle of friends, the loss of a good man.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.M. Stickney of Eldon, at Mount Pleasant Christian Church and interment was made in the Masonic Cemetery. He was a member of the Olean Masonic order.
