Mary Helen was the daughter of Wallace Paul and Ada Henrietta Thorp Paul. She attended Milton Academy and Milton College and taught school in Winnetka, Illinois for many years. She was a world traveler. She didn't marry until February 1, 1959 when she married high school sweetheart, Burt Potter. She was a warm wonderful person.
