Mr. John Elmer Lockman, age 85 of East Highway 150 in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 2, 2011.
His funeral service will be 2:30 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Setzer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Lockman was born October 1, 1925 in Lincoln County to the late Van and Edith Lawing Lockman.
He retired from Charlotte Pipe and Foundry.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Potts Lockman of the home; one daughter, Sharon Bean and husband Alan of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Dr. Ethan Bean and wife Dr. Stacey Bean and Andrea Bean; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Bean and Meredith Bean.
