As the dutiful wife she followed her hardworking husband wherever work took him with the goal of keeping the family together, finally settling in Bakersfield in 1961. In 2006 Mary moved to Colorado which allowed her to develop a special relationship with her grandson's family. She was also adopted by Mantey Heights staff, many who sat alongside Larry during her final days, telling her they loved her and saying their last goodbyes with gentle kisses on her forehead. Mary will be remembered as a hardworking and strong willed woman. www.bakersfield.com/obits
