James Harris Sr.

Salineville - James E. Harris, Sr., 52 of County Road 55, Salineville, OH died at his residence after suddenly becoming ill on Friday, December 31, 2010. He was born in East Liverpool, OH on October 5, 1958 and was a son of Larry Adkins of Salineville and the late Shirley (Halstead) Harris Adkins. Living his entire life in this area, he was a truck driver working for M & J Painting of Campbell, OH. His wife, Connie (Daniels) Harris, whom he married on October 23, 1976 survives him at home. Besides his wife and dad, three sons: James E. Harris, Jr., Shane A. Harris and Jason E. Harris, all of Salineville; three brothers: Lee Harris, J.R. Harris and Larry Adkins, Jr., all of Salineville; three sisters: Sharon Harris of Lisbon, Brenda Rose of Salineville and Luella Miller of Springfield, Missouri as well as seven grandchildren survive him. Besides his mother, his father, Carl Harris, Jr. and one brother, Christopher Kester preceded him in death. Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rodney Ohler of the Salineville Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m.
