Service for Irick M. Barker, 90, is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barker, who died Tuesday, was born in Stillwater, Okla.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a carpenter for Carpenters Local No. 98.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

His wife, Verlyn Barker, died in 1980.

Mr. Barker's survivors include two sons, Donald and Robert Barker, both of Spokane; two stepsons, Ronald Eck of Newport, Wash., and Dean Eck of Newman Lake; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Clyde Clarence Barker married Mary Elizabeth McNabb, daughter of Loranzo Dow McNabb and Marcena Okla Coffman. They had a son Irick Monroe Barker on 29 August 1906. After Clyde Clarence Barker died on 15 December 1906, Mary Elizabeth married John Stewart Bowyer who had two 2 children, from his first marriage to Mariah A. Ely, Pearl Leona Bowyer McInnes b. 1898 and Ora T. Bowyer 1904.

John Stewart and Mary Elizabeth Bowyer had four more children: Theodore 1910, William 1912, Marvin B. 1915 and Mary 1920
