Virginia R. Wilson, 83, of Waycross Drive died at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Wilson was a former cook at Columbus East High School. She was a member of World of Pentecost and an avid cook and gardener.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with Larry Antle and the Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Duncan Cemetery in Brown County.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born in Monroe County Feb. 22, 1921, Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of Jacob and Carrie McKinney Jean. She married Oliver R. Wilson July 7, 1938.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Skinner of Elizabethtown, Judy Baxter of Brownstown and Delora Antle of Columbus; sons, Jerry R. Wilson of Seymour and Jeffrey L. Wilson of Phoenix; grandchildren, Susan Taylor, Mike Skinner, Judy Walls, Michael S. Day, Tammy Butler, Sydell Gant, Darren Antle, Kristen Lopez and Tyler Wilson; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 24, 2002; two sisters; and five brothers.

The funeral for Virginia R. Wilson, 83, of Waycross Drive was Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home with Larry Antle and the Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Nicci Myers and Darren Antle were eulogists, Judith Walls was soloist and Ann Combs was soloist and organist.
Burial was at Duncan Cemetery in Brown County. Pallbearers were Tyler Wilson, Michael Day, Mike and Micky Skinner, Darren Antle and Brad Myers.
