Mrs.Kay Dee Henderson Guest, age 96, of Blackshear, died Friday (Dec. 31, 2010) at Pierce County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ware Co. to the late Willie Henderson and Lenora Minchew Henderson. She had lived most of her life in Pierce Co. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Guest, a son, Winky Guest and a grandson, Andy Guest. Mrs. Guest was a long-time member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. She was retired from Flanders Spread and Drapes in Waycross. She was a member of the Pierce Co. Quilter's club and Pines Social Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Lee (James) Dixon, Tampa; Norma (Joel) Corbett, Blackshear. 5 Grandchildren, David (Kristi) Corbett, Waycross, Richard (Kim) Corbett, Cummings, Kathy (Jimmie) Tyre, Tampa, Kim (Jim) Lightfoot, Scotland, Jimmy (Melanie) Guest, Cummings ,
nine great-grandchildren and several niece and nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Rehobeth Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rehobeth Cemetery. The family will be receiving
friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Rehobeth Baptist Church cemetery trust fund.
