G.W. Bice, 77, of Jemison died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Vinemont. He was born Wednesday, June 29, 1932 in Chilton County, son of the late John Henry Bice, Sr. and the late Annie Ellison Bice. He was a manager.

Surving are his son, Michael Bice of Shelby; 2 daughters, Donna McFarland of Jemison and Denise Jones of Vinemont; 2 grandsons, Darryl (Amy) Bice of Clanton and Douglas Patterson of Jemison; 2 granddaughters, Leslie Bice of Harpersville and Julie Renee McFarland of Jemison; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Bice, Madelyn Bice and Alex Bice; special friend, Jason Givens; 4 brothers, Wayne Bice, O'Neal Bice, Benny Bice and Jimmy B. Bice; 3 sisters, Ann Cofer, Lorene Ellison and Aileen Collum.

He was preceded in death by his wife. Julia Huckabee Bice.

Graveside services will be Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery with James Earl Davenport officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby. Martin Funeral Home directing.
