DIED - LYON. --On Monday Oct. 8, 1894, at the residence of his brother 3 miles east of Bronson, Matthew S. Lyon, of typhoid fever.
The deceased was a brother of D. H. Lyon and was well-known in Uniontown and vicinity. He had been ailing for some time before being confined to his room and his illness was comparatively of short duration. He was born in Pike Co., Ills., in 1858 and removed in 1865 to Bourbon county, Kansas and again went with them in 1889 to Lake Charles, La., where he remained until 1893, when he returned to Kansas, residing here ever since.
He was a genial and bright young man and had a number of friends who sympathize with the mourning relatives. The remains were laid to rest the next day in the Mount Orum cemetery, southwest of Redfield.
