Daniel Sutton, age 84 years and for 40 years a resident of the White Oak community about 4 and 1/2 miles north of the city, died at the home of his son Manley A. Sutton yesterday morning at 8:05 o'clock. While Mr. Sutton had been declining in strength for some time on account of advancing years, he was confined to the bed only about a month. Mr. Sutton was born on April 23, 1850 near Blooming Valley, where he grew to manhood and was married over 60 years ago to Miss Cynthia Wescoat, who died on June 14, 1906. Six children were born, four of whom survive as follows: Alpheus Eugene, Arthur Leroy, Daniel Douane and Manley Austin Sutton. A daughter, Hattie Amanda and an infant son, died many years ago. Mr. Sutton was the last of his own family. Beside the sons he leaves 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
