"Flower Shop Owner Dies
William G. Johnson, 72, of 1512 N Pennsylvania, died Tuesday in his home. Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday in Bill Merritt Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Johnson was born in Menard, Texas, and came to the Oklahoma City Area in 1911. He had worked for Berteldes Seed Co. and was the owner of Art's Flower Shop. He was a member of the Pentecostal Movement.
Survivors include his wife, Lula; two daughters, Mrs Gerry Harshfield and Mrs Gwendolyn Nedbalek, both of Oklahoma City; a foster daughter, La Nell Johnson, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Joe and Owen both of Oklahoma City, and Preston, of Adrian, Texas; four sisters, Mrs Mary Pace, Oklahoma City, Mrs Ava Bruce, of Canadian, Texas, Mrs Sally Hinesly, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Mrs Alice Roberts of Springdale, Ar.; a nephew, Art Johnson, of Muskogee, and four grandchildren."
