Faith E. Bristow, 91, a long time resident of Largo, Florida, died Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. Born November 11, 1911 in Rockland, she was the daughter of Alden and Flora Lunt Ulmer. She attended local schools, graduating from Rockland High School in 1930. She later earned a degree in Music Education. Following the death of her first husband Alton F. Brown in 1973, she married Col. Clifford Bristow. He died in 1984.

From 1949 to 1950, Mrs. Bristow owned and operated the Corner Gift Shop and Tea Room at Wiley's Corner. She later cared for her aging parents and after their deaths, was employed 18 years at the Village Shop in Camden.

A former member of both the First Baptist Church of Rockland and Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, while living in this area, she often served as soloist in many area churches. Mrs. Bristow wintered in Florida where she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater.

On two different occasions, Mrs. Bristow resided with her niece Lucille Payson of Rockland.

She is survived by one son, William P. Brown of Southbridge, Massachusetts; one step-son, Alan Bristow of North Carolina; two step-daughters, Carol Cornell of Fort Ann, New York, Sylvia Cahill of Webster, New York; several nieces and nephews, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
