Raymond A. Rammer, of Sheboygan, died on Friday evening, December 17, 2010 at the Beechwood Rest Home.
Raymond was born on January 23, 1921 in Sheboygan, the son of the late Leonard and Cora (Buschmann) Rammer.
Ray attended Erdman School.
On August 12, 1944 he married Delores Schroeder in Sheboygan.
Ray worked at Gilson Mfg in Plymouth for 15 years prior to his retirement in 1983.
He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Sheboygan. Earlier in his life he served as an usher for the Sheboygan Redskins. He enjoyed football, playing sheepshead, gardening, fishing, dancing, traveling, and raising turkey ducks.
Ray is survived by his wife, Delores; two daughters, Cindy Dorn, and Chris (Joel) Firme ; two sons, Lee (Debbie) Rammer and Scott (Mary) Rammer; 11 grandchildren, Kortney Smith, Bluex Ruthledge, Lark Ruthledge, Jamie Firme, Brad, Brek, Cory, Ryan (Julie), Elizabeth, Erin, and Erica Rammer; two step grandchildren ,Tom (Amy) Neuy and Doug (Kerri) Schleif; 15 great- grandchildren; and one sister, Lorraine LeMahieu.
Ray was preceded in death by one son, Barry Rammer; one sister, Marion Schultz; and one brother, Vernon Rammer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Parish on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 with the Rev. John Radetski officiating. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan.
