LAYTON--William Earl Bath, 80, passed from this life peacefully in his sleep at his home December 24, 1993.
Born March 4, 1913, son of Simon Richards and Caroline Louise Capson Bath. Married Sarah Fay Fitt October 5, 1946.
A veteran of World War II, a member of the 91st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. He served in North Africa and Italy until the war ended. He was employed for 39 years by the US government, 32 years as an accountant at Hill AFB.
He will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed his family and was a great tease. He was a fountain of nicknames and named all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his friends. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Vincent S. Bath, Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Janet Bath Nather and Pamela K. Bath Murray, both Riverdale, Utah; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was the youngest and last survivor of three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, at 2 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 12:45-1:45 p.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens where military honors will be accorded by the V.F.W.
