NAMPA — Services for Jane Thompson, 68, Route 6, Nampa, who died Friday in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 9th Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nampa, by Bishop Gordon F. Sanderson. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
She was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Draper, Utah. She moved to the Lost River area near Darlington, where she was reared and educated. She moved back to Utah in 1930. She married Claude A. Thompson on Feb. 11, 1933, in Ogden, Utah. They moved to Nampa in December 1944. She worked at the Idaho State School and Hospital in Nampa for 16 years before she retired in 1974. She was a member of the LDS 9th Ward and the Relief Society.
Survivors include her husband of Nampa; three sons, Grant of West Point, Utah, Keith of Montclair, Calif., and Jay of Nampa; two daughters, Janice Long of Caldwell and Bette Peurcey of Meridian; a brother, Orlie Price of Arco; four sisters, Verda Flint of Layton, Utah, Irene Stauffer of Willard, Utah, and Mary Larson and Elaine Engstrom, both of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 166 S. Cole Road, Boise 83709.
The family will greet friends at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
