The deceased was born in 1896 in Conemaugh Township, this county being a son of Perry G Parks and the late Mrs. Mary (Loudenstine) Parks, who expired 15 years ago. The deceased was for a number of years employed in the Cambria Mills. He was a mess sergeant at Camp Lee in Virginia. The deceased and Miss Meta Carabaugh were married five years ago in Cumberland. Mrs. Parks and a daughter Lavade Parks survive him. They are in the state of Ohio.
Besides his widow and daughter the deceased is survived by his father, who resides in Wissingertown and four brothers Arthur and Theodore of Conemaugh Township, Cyrus of New York and Bryson of 745 Clark Street, and three sisters; Mrs. Edward Norris of Bolivar and Mrs. William Ream and Mrs. Emory Wilson, of Conemaugh Township.
