Born on Nov. 3, 1844, Mary (Polly) Scott was a daughter of Francis and Malinda (Montgomery) Scott. She married Jasper Fisher on Aug. 11, 1870. They were the parents of two children, William Francis Fisher and Lela (Fisher) Swain. Mary died on Feb. 21, 1925 and is buried with her husband in the Montgomery Chapel Cemetery near Lizton.

Pittsboro - Mrs. Jasper Fisher died Saturday, at her home near Maplewood, after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Howard of Crawfordsville, at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, with burial at Lizton.
