Services for Mrs. Smith will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Leeville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 50, of Carthage, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born in Wilson County, the daughter of Hugh Goolsby who survives and the late Bertha Lackey Goolsby. She operated a daycare for several years and was a Baptist in belief.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wooden; her mother; and a brother, Otis Wayne Goolsby.

Survivors include: husband, Chris E. Smith; children, Angel (Daniel Watson) Soucy of Carthage and Travis Wooden of Carthage; father, Hugh Goolsby of Lebanon; brothers, Kenny (Robert Breon) Goolsby of Lebanon, Scotty (Donna) Goolsby of Lebanon, Carl (Betty) Goolsby of Brush Creek, Timmy (Jennifer) Goolsby of Mt. Juliet and Tony (Beth) Goolsby of Gordonsville; grandchildren, Caleb Wooden, McKenzie Watson, Jenna and Brian Soucy, Otis Wooden, Rayonna Douglas and Celina Duffy; sister-in-law, Pam Blair of Lebanon; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Gwen Smith of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews and in-laws.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Watson, Gene Blair, John Williams, Seth Breon and Kevin and Phillip Smith.
