Mrs. Nettie Belle Holder, age 94, formerly of Hammon, died late this morning at the Hodges Nursing Home.

Local survivors include a son, Earl Brown of Hammon.

Services will be announced by Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holder's Services Set

Funeral services for Nettie Belle Holder will be conducted from the Martin Funeral Chapel Friday at 10 a.m. with Charles Shinault officiating. Burial will be in Smithton, Mo.

Mrs. Holder was born Nov. 1, 1882, at Smithton, and died Tuesday in the nursing home at the age of 94.

Mrs. Holder was married to Clarence Brown in Smithton, Mo., on May 26, 1901 and he preceded her in death October 26, 1912. She and Mr. Brown came to Hammon from Smithton in 1901. After Mr. Brown died she moved to Greeley, Colo., for about 5 years, then lived in California with her son for a number of years and returned to Hammon and married Ed Holder at Hammon* on Oct. 31, 1931. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1956. She had been a resident of Hodges Nursing Home for the past 4 years.

Survivors include 2 sons, Earl Brown of Hammon and Merton Brown of La Habra, Calif., and 2 step-children, Floyd Holder and Beulah Smallwood, both of Elk City, one niece, Bessie Lee Yarbrough of Elk City; 3 grandchildren, 3 foster grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren.
