NAMPA — Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Blair Montague, 83, 63 E. 1600 South, Orem, Utah, who died at Orem Wednesday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the L.D.S. Stake Center, 143 Canyon St., with president Roscoe W. Luekenga officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel on Friday and until 10 a.m. Saturday, and at the Relief Society Room from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time.
Mrs. Montague was born Oct. 4, 1888 at Lewiston, Utah where she was reared and attended school. She was married to John David Montague Oct. 2, 1913 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in Preston, Idaho for a short time and Elsinore, Utah for a number of years. They lived in Eastern Idaho until 1941 when they moved to Nampa. Mr. Montague preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1961.
She had made her home in Nampa until five years ago and since resided with her son, Q. Blair Montague, in Orem, Utah. She died following a brief illness.
Mrs. Montague was a member of the Nampa 4th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by four sons, Wallace D. Montague, San Luis Obispo, Calif., Q. Blair Montague, Orem, Utah, Glenn A. Montague, Santa Mari, Calif., and David O. Montague, Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Blaine (Marceline) Garner and Mrs. John W. (Maurine) Everton, Nampa, and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Martindale, Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Charles Blair, Rigby, and Ezra Norris Blair, San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hendricks, Nyssa, Ore., Mrs. Jennie Layne, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Eliza Leavitt, Prescott, Ariz.; 34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
