The family is on the 1880 US Census in Flint, Benton, Arkansas. The USA Census of Tahlequah District Cherokee Nation indicated that her families' date of arrival in the Cherokee Nation was 1885. Clark L. Collins (1866-1945) and Eliza Hughes had a son, Ira Jackson Collins (1891-1968). Eliza married Nathaniel "Than" Wofford 01 Jun 1894 . Than and Eliza had a son Samuel Wofford (1895-1975) . Eliza married John Harless (1871-1947) 17 May 1907. Eliza Jane and John Harless traveled to Vinita, Craig, Oklahoma for medical treatment for Mrs. Harless inJuly 1925. She passed away 24 July 1925 at the home of her brother, Charles Burton Hughes at 345 South Wilson in Vinita. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. Hughes.1910 and 1920 US Census indicate they were living at Moodys, Cherokee County, OK. John remained there up until his death in 1947. Note the last name on the stone is misspelled. US Census and applications for enrollment in Cherokee nation indicate Harless is the spelling of their last name.
