Norris A. Belt, Sr., of Rt. 2, Hagerstown, died at his home on Monday evening.

He was born in Baltimore County, a son of Lewis E. and Laura Mayhew Belt. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Baltimore County and attended Blairs Valley Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia P. Higgins Belt; sons, Johnny M. Belt, Sr. of Glen Burnie, and Norris A. Belt, Jr., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Connie S. Caldwell of Cearfoss; six grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Belt of Towson; and a sister Mrs. Lillian Fennelly of Towson.

Services will be held at the Blairs Valley Church of God on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul Moore and the Rev. Robert Easterday will officiate; burial will be in Blairs Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9, and at the church one hour prior to the time of the services.
