CIVIL WAR VETERAN
DIED ON SUNDAY

Came to Quincy After the War
and Had Lived Here Ever Since
-- Leaves Three Daughters.

Daniel Hollenback died Sunday afternoon at 1:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T. T. [T. F.] Smith, at 515 1/2 Spring street of pneumonia; and a complication of ailments due to old age.

Mr. Hollenback was born in Perry county Ohio, October 14 1836. Before the war, he farmed in Kansas; but after the war, he came to Quincy, and had lived here since. He was a member of Co. H, Seventy-seventh Illinois regiment.

He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. B. F. Bower of St. Louis; Mrs. F. H. Wieland of Cazenovia Illinois; and Mrs. Smith, at whose home he died; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be private, Tuesday.
