Irene Adams Garten Dies at Chariton
Funeral services were held at the Seymour Methodist Church Monday, March 1, [1954] for Mrs. Irene Adams Garten, 82, who died at the home of her son, George Adams at Chariton Saturday. [Irene Bell Sigler was born in March 1871 in Wayne County, Iowa.]
Mrs. Garten had been a resident of Seymour for several years, making her home with her son, William Shelby Adams. Besides the two sons mentioned she is survived by another son, Robert Paul Adams of Fairfield and a daughter, Bessie Thelma Shelton of Yakima, Wash. Burial was in Allerton Cemetery.
