Mrs. Irene Rumbley 87, of Moss Point, MS born on March 27,1930 in Excel, AL passed away on March 9,2018 in Pascagoula, MS. A woman who loved her lord and her family. She married Roy Rumbley in 1948 and raised her family here in Moss Point.
She was a blessing to her family and many friends. Irene worked for the Moss Point School System as a school cafeteria manager for 20 years where she a had a perfect attendance record.
She was an optimistic person who sought the good in every situation and everyone. She was a giving soul and always placed others before herself.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents Henry Lee and Minnie Sue Addison, her husband of 59 years Roy Rumbley and her brother H.L. Addison.
She is survived by her children Stephanie Lee (John), Roy Ronsonet Rumbley, and Roddy Rumbley (Michele). She will also sadly be missed by her 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 13,2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
The family would like to thank the caregivers who helped Irene through her long illness, Mary Wood, Kellie Taylor, Teresa Polk, and Shirley Crear. Also, a special thank you is given to Mahmoud Zayed MD, and Robert Burns MD and all of the healthcare team.
