Vesta A. Barton, 88, of Endwell, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Monday, June 27, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, Marlin in 1994. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gary Ransom, Callicoon, N.Y.; and a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Gonia Barton, Vestal; her grandchildren, Christopher Barton and Ellana, Mark and Christine Barton, Andrew Barton, Thomas and Malin Barton, Kimberly Ransom-Davis and William Davis, Phillip and Heidi Ransom, and Christopher Ransom; six great-grandchildren, Katherine, Vanessa and Hannah Barton, Davin Ransom, and Owen and Olivia Davis; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Endicott, for over 60 years, and was an avid bowler in many IBM Leagues.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St.,Endicott, Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, Inc., 8 South Avenue B, Endwell, N.Y. 13760, or the American Heart Association, 59 Court Street, 4th Floor, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
