Kirby Jones Cole was the son of Mary Josephine Bovett & Joseph Addison Cole. His brothers were William Van Cole, Sr., Arthur Mirandy Cole, and Sam Cole. Sisters were; Jessie Jewel Walton of Newton, TX; Edna Cole Whittington and Zara Cole Shirley. He was a life-long residence of the Longville area.
Kirby served in the US Army during WW II and was stationed in Australia for a time.
He married Annette Parker and worked in the convienience store on the corner in Longville for many years.
Kirby died following an auto accident at age 86.
His wife preceeded him in death, (1970) and they had no children but he is survived by many nephews and neices. Only one sister survives, Zara Shirley of Longville.
