Statesboro, Ga., April 21 - J. H. Cribbs, 74, died this afternoon at the Bulloch County Hospital after an illness of three weeks.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Cribbs, Stilson; seven daughters, Mrs. Albert Scott, Windsor, S.C.; Mrs. Fred Branch, Savannah; Mrs. J. R. Westberry, Savannah; Mrs. Larry Boaen, Guyton; Mrs. Harmon Morris, Stilson; Mrs. Harry N. Shurling, Stilson; Mrs. H. L. Morrison, Stilson; three sons, Joe Cribbs, Savannah; George Dixon, Savannah; Wayne Dixon, Savannah, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from Fellowship Baptist Church near Stilson with Rev. T. Earl Serson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barnes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

James was the son of John Branick Cribbs & Eliza Deborah Harn Cribbs.

James married on 21 Oct 1906 to Sarah Stokes.

James and Sarah's children were: Robert Cribbs (1908), Willie V. Cribbs (1909) and Arlie Cribbs (1913)

James married after May 1926 to Fannie E. Dixon, the widow of William Benjamin Dixon.

James and Fannie had one son in 1928, Joseph "Joe' C. Cribbs.

The seven daughters above were all daughters of William Dixon & Fannie. Fannie and William Dixon's children were:
