Ada was the 3rd wife of Obediah Hampton Cribbs
1930 Bulloch Co census shows Ada was 50 and she 1st married at age 44. So Obediah was her 1st husband and she was born in 1879-80 and they supposedly married in 1923-24. I have not found their license so the marriage may have been Common-Law.
Special attention must be taken when trying to decern a spouse by verifying at birth year and available marriage info. The two on-line sources I used to try to determine Ada's maiden name disagree as to whether she was a Davis who married a Williams or a Williams who married a Davis. In my own research I have not been able to prove she was either. Possibly why I have not found a license for them. In any case, I do not know where they got the idea that Ada was previously married or was born in 1867.
I apologize for the misleading info that I previously had on this memorial.
Markers for Ada, and Obediah's 2nd wife Lizzie, are on each side of a marker for Obediah. By personal knowledge I know that Obediah, Lizzie and little Dannie are buried elsewhere, on private property northwest of Stilson (see his memorial for explanation). Since Ada died a year before Obediah she may actually be buried on the private property with Lizzie. But he may have buried Ada at the church and that is why some folks think he and Lizzie are buried there also.
