Jeremiah I. Kring, 83, of La Paz, Ind., past away in his home Tuesday with his loved ones by his bedside. Grandpa Kring, (what he answered to) was a seventh generation Kring born in the USA. Born on March 13, 1881, in Nappanee, Ind., to Uriah and Catherine (Housouir) Kring of Nappanee; On Dec. 29, 1900, in Marshall Co, married Catherine Pearl Strang, born April 22, 1881, in Nappanee, daughter of Samuel P. and Mary Jane (Schults) Strang, of Plymouth Ind.
Preceding him in death was his wife Catherine, May 26, 1954; a daughter, Evelyn Cleo, born Nov. 11, 1907, died Aug. 31, 1909, twin to Uriah Devoe; a brother, Clarence E., died Jan. 21, 1937. Surviving; are two sons, Frederick F. of South Bend; and Uriah D. of Walkerton, Ind.; Three daughters, Mrs. Jennie K. (Dan) White of Massillon Oh.; Mrs. Golgie M. (Roy) Overmyer, La Paz; Mrs. Edna C. (Harold) Holland, South Bend; a brothers, Frankin B., Nappanee; a sister, Mrs. Anna M. (Benjamin) Hepler of Nappanee. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will take place beside his wife Catherine a Marshall County Line Cem., La Paz. Ind.. (A.K.A. Mount Zion Cemetery).
