Margaret "Maggie" Carr McClelland was born May 23, 1900 in Bryan County, Georgia. Her husband was Rufus W. McClelland, and they had a son, James K. McClelland, and an infant daughter. They lived in Ellabell, Bryan County. She died at age 74 on October 12, 1974 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia after a long illness and was buried at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County, Georgia on October 14. Her funeral was at the Terry C. Massey Funeral Home. She was a Methodist. Her husband Rufus, son James K. McClelland, brothers Willie and Walter Carr, and a sister (Mrs. Jack Bullard) survived her.
