Alan P. Beal December 22, 2010 No. Waterboro Alan (Peter) Beal, 71, of George Street in No. Waterboro, died Dec. 22, 2010 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born on August 12, 1939 in Sanford the son of Arthur and Ruth (Tarbox) Beal and spent his childhood in West Newfield, attending school in the community.

Peter spent his working career in the construction industry, paving many miles of roadways for Tilcon and Pike Industries. Before retirement, he was in the grading department of the plant.

On January 20, 1962, Peter met and married his sweet heart, Constance Wright and they raised five children together. Peter knew his role within their family; he worked hard each day to care for his family while Connie stayed at home with the kids. It was a true love affair with its ups and downs of daily living, yet through the challenges of his recent illness; their devotion to one another never wavered.

Peter loved to build model airplanes and he and a few of his buddies would venture out to play with their big boy toys. He could be seen most days with his faithful, four-legged companion, Pooh, who was always ready to go for a car ride. He was devoted to his children and loved having the grandchildren and great-grandchildren come by to visit. Of course he never spoiled them! They affectionately called him Papa and Gramp.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Connie Beal of No. Waterboro; his son, Alan J. Beal, and wife Kara of No. Waterboro; four daughters, Cindy Gerry of No. Waterboro; Cheryl Stubbs of Cypress, TX; Cathy Letarte and husband Keith of Fort Fairfield; and Rebecca Beal Hernandez and husband Ed of No. Waterboro; one brother, Morris Beal and wife Donna of Falmouth and one sister, Beverly Buck of Waterboro; 8 grandchildren, Zack and Ty, Jesse, Audrey and Megan, Sheryl and (The Hood Brothers), Joey and Noah; his two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Beal.
