Graveside services Floyd Franklin Aldridge, Ochlocknee, was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Cemetery, with Jimmy Pearson officiating. Interment was at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Aldridge died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at his residence.

He was a son of the late Jim Thomas Aldridge and Naomi Jackson Aldridge.

He was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Cotton.

He was married to Mary "Gail" Farnsworth Aldridge and Katie Colvin Aldridge, both of whom are deceased.

He was a plant operator for Oil-Dri for 20 years and worked at Dawes Silica Mines. Mr. Aldridge was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a son, Ellis Aldridge (Janie), Blakely; daughters, Yvonne McMillan (Curtis), Ochlocknee, Sherry Adams (David), Thomasville; son, Jim Aldridge, Brinson; daughter, Rose Marie Edenfield (LeRoy), Pelham; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Council, Thomasville, special friends, Dennis and John.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Aldridge and Yewl Aldridge #94149783; great-grandson, Jeremy Beckwith and Ricky Gardens; and longtime friend and caregiver, Shirley "Ann" Farnsworth #32265833.
