Glenn Whigham Howell, 65, owner of Howell Electric, died today in McKeesport Hospital. He resided at 634 Madison Ave. Friends will be received at Volk-Jaycox Funeral Home; Fawcett St. at O'Neil Blvd., beginning tomorrow and services will be conducted there on Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. George J. McCredie. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Mr. Howell was born Sept. 23, 1891, in Boston, Pa., a son of the late Robert J. and Nannie Whigham Howell. He was a member of Alliquippa Lodge, 375, F. and A.M., Royal Arch Chapter 282, McKeesport Commandery 86, Knights Templar and the McKeesport Caravan 4 and Syria Temple.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eliza Peairs Howell; a son, William E. Howell of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Schwirian of Smithdale; four grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Helen Pflumm of Elizabeth Twp., Mrs. Marguerite Armstrong of Niles, O., Mrs. Mary Huemme of Boston and Mrs. Martha Jaycox of Alhambra, Cal.; and two brothers, J. Wylie Howell of Cleveland, O., and John C. Howell of Niles.
